Contact the FanCode newsroom — corrections, compliance, source tips

The editorial desks' contact lanes — corrections, compliance, source tips. For account / payment / KYC issues, the operator's in-app Help & Support is the primary channel.

The editorial desk is not customer success. For app / KYC / wallet / withdrawal issues, use the operator's in-app Help & Support tab. For editorial issues (corrections, source tips, compliance questions), the desk publishes three lanes below.

Customer-care lanes (operator, not the desk)

  1. In-app Help & Support Profile → Help & Support — primary channel for account issues.
  2. Operator email Customercare [at] fancode.in — account / payment / KYC.
  3. Verified socials @fancode (X) · @fancodeapp (Instagram).
  4. Escalation Consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (financial disputes).

Editorial postal address

The desk does not publish a personal address. Press accreditation and content-partnership enquiries should be sent to desk [at] fancodein.com with the press credentials and the accreditation window.

What the desk will and will not respond to

Editorial conduct — what the desk expects

The desk expects editorial correspondence to be specific, on-topic, and verifiable. Sources are taken seriously; the desk treats every correction request as a potential publishing event and verifies before editing. Marketing pitches, partnership pitches and SEO pitches are reviewed by the desk editor on a case-by-case basis.

Response time

Editorial corrections — 24-48 hours. Compliance questions — 48-72 hours. Source tips — best-effort. Press accreditation — 72 hours. The desk publishes the SLA on the lane for each query type.

Writing to the desk — practical guidance

When you write to the desk, include the URL of the page you're reporting on, the line of copy you're flagging, and the source you think is correct. The desk reads every correction email — the ones that name the page and the line are addressed in hours; the ones that aren't are addressed last. Source tips follow the same pattern: name the URL, name the source, and the desk's reporter on that beat will pick it up.

The desk works Mon-Sat, 16:00 to 23:00 IST. Weekend emails land in the queue on Monday morning. Press accreditation and content partnership enquiries typically run a 72-hour turnaround. Compliance questions follow the operator's PROG Act 2025 framework and may require a longer reply window.

After you write — what the desk does

Once your correction email lands, the desk's editor on duty acknowledges receipt within 24 hours. Acknowledgment doesn't mean a fix has been approved — it means the desk has read the email and is verifying the change against external sources. Verification typically takes 4-12 hours; the editor then publishes the fix with a timestamp and your name (where you consent) on the corrections log.

If verification fails (the desk finds the published claim is correct after cross-referencing with two external sources), the desk writes back with the verification evidence and the cross-references — not just "we're right, you're wrong", but a clear note on what the desk checked. Editorial accountability runs both ways: the desk publishes corrections when warranted, and explains the verification when correction isn't warranted.

Where the correction involves a different desk entirely (e.g. you write to the cricket desk about a football issue), the editor on duty re-routes the email to the right desk within 4 hours. The forwarding email is a courtesy copy to you so you know the email hasn't been lost.

The desk's editorial correspondence is confidential — we don't share your email with third parties, we don't add you to newsletters without consent, and we don't publish your name on the corrections log unless you consent. The desk's two adult editorial principles are: source-led reporting, transparent correction. Personal correspondence sits inside the source-led reporting bucket.

Press accreditation and content partnership enquiries are handled by the editor-in-chief, who replies within 72 hours. Where the request is for a recurring content stream (a weekly contributor slot, a regular column), the editor-in-chief typically schedules a 30-minute video call to scope the engagement before committing.
