Where can I download?
Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or the direct APK on the APK page. We don't host mirrors or third-party links.
The FanCode app is available on the Google Play Store (Android) and the Apple App Store (iOS). A direct APK is also available for users who prefer out-of-store distribution. All three paths point to the same signed build.
Three download paths
- Google Play Store Search "FanCode" on the Play Store. Tap install. The build is identical to the direct APK.
- Direct APK Visit the APK page for the signed build with the certificate hash. Note: you may need to enable "Install unknown apps" permission for the browser.
- Apple App Store Search "FanCode" on the App Store. Requires iOS 14 or higher.
Verifying the download
After install, open the app and verify three things — (1) the publisher is "Fantasy Sports India Pvt Ltd" in the app info screen, (2) the build matches the version on the desk's APK page, (3) the certificate is from the operator's signing key. If any of these is wrong, do not proceed with sign-up — uninstall and report the issue via the operator's published channel.

Common issues
- Install blocked on Android The app is signed by the operator's certificate; if the install is blocked, ensure you have not sideloaded conflicting builds from a previous install. Uninstall first.
- iOS App Store unavailable in region Switch store region to India (requires an Indian address on file) before installing.
- Direct APK install: "App not installed" Verify the certificate hash on the APK page. If the certificate hash differs, do not install — you have a tampered build.
- Old build leftover The app does not always overlay cleanly on a previous install. Uninstall any old FanCode builds first.
After install
Open the app and follow the first-launch flow — sign-up → KYC → state check → contest register. The editorial desk does not need to be installed; the desk is a web surface for pre-match research, prediction and the player dossier.

Are all three builds signed?
Yes. The build identity is identical across Play Store, direct APK and App Store installs.
Does the app drain battery?
Live-score and contest modes consume moderate battery; the recommended OS levels reduce background drain.
What about iPad?
The iOS app runs on iPad (universal). We have not seen install issues on iPad Air / Pro models with iPadOS 14+.
Choosing an install path — Play Store vs direct APK vs App Store
Each install path leads to the same build. The Play Store path adds the auto-update + cloud-restore layer (you can pick up your squad on a new device with no re-build). The direct APK path works without the Play Store — useful for Android devices that don't have Play Services (some Chinese market devices). The App Store path is iOS-only.
Which path suits you
If you regularly switch devices, use the Play Store or App Store path so your wallet and squad are restored automatically. If you keep one device, direct APK is fine. The trade-off is convenience vs flexibility; the build itself is identical.
Reading the OS requirements — a short guide
Android 7.0+ is supported. Most devices from 2016 onwards meet the requirement. The recommended OS is Android 12+ for the smoothest live-score experience. iOS 14+ is supported; most iPhones from 2020 onwards meet the requirement. The recommended iOS is iOS 16+ for the smoothest wallet flow.
If your device doesn't meet the minimum, you can read the editorial coverage in a web browser at fancodein.com but cannot install the app. The desk is a web surface — it does not require the app.
A reading note — keeping the app current
The app release cycle is roughly fortnightly. Each release ships (1) contest-register fixes, (2) live-score pipeline improvements, (3) wallet / KYC bug-fixes, (4) UI polish based on reader feedback. Auto-update on the Play Store and App Store handles incremental updates; the direct APK path requires manual install.
The app does not auto-update on enterprise devices with restricted Play Store access, nor on privacy-focused Android distributions. The desk recommends the official Play Store or direct APK with auto-update enabled.
Where a release introduces a feature, the operator publishes the release notes on the in-app announcement banner and on the operator's socials. The desk publishes the reading on the lane within 24 hours of the release.
If an update breaks the app on your specific device, raise an in-app ticket under Help & Support with the device model, OS version, and the build you're updating to. The operator's engineering team responds with a workaround or a fix within 24-72 hours.
