The FanCode editorial desk is a web surface for cricket, football, kabaddi, tennis and fantasy coverage. The desk does not process credentials, wallet balances, deposits, withdrawals or paid-contest entries — those are handled by the operator inside the app, under the operator's privacy policy and the MeitY Online Gaming rules.
What the editorial desk records
- Anonymous page analytics Aggregated, IP-anonymized page-view counts (Cloudflare Analytics — no third-party trackers). The desk does not use Google Analytics or any third-party retargeting.
- Newsletter subscription (opt-in) If you subscribe, your email is stored on the desk's mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Correction emails If you write to the desk for a correction, we retain the email for the duration of the correction work.
What the editorial desk does not record
- Account credentials The desk has no login form. Credentials are entered inside the operator's app.
- Wallet balances Not visible to the desk.
- Contest entries Managed inside the operator's app.
- KYC documents Held by the operator under MeitY guidelines.
Cookies and similar
The desk uses minimal cookies — session-only cookies for the menu state, no third-party trackers, no retargeting. Cloudflare may set functional cookies under its own policy.
Third parties the desk uses
- Cloudflare Edge caching and security. Cloudflare's privacy policy governs its cookies.
- Google Fonts (CSS only) The desk loads Inter via Google Fonts CSS; no JS, no tracking pixels.
- No analytics SDK The desk does not embed Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude or any third-party analytics SDK.
Your rights (India-side)
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), you have the right to (a) request a copy of the personal data the desk holds about you, (b) request correction, (c) request erasure. Email compliance [at] fancodein.com for any of these.
Retention
Editorial corrections and source-tip emails are retained for 24 months, after which they are deleted unless actively referenced for a corrections log. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.

A note on aggregator cookies and the desk's stance
The desk does not embed third-party analytics SDKs (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude). Cloudflare is the only edge layer that touches cookies, and its cookies are functional (rate-limiting, edge routing) — not retargeting. Google Fonts CSS is loaded via a standard stylesheet link with no JS tracking. The result: when you load the desk, the only entities that see your IP are the desk and Cloudflare's edge.
Newsletter subscribers — opt-in only
The newsletter list is opt-in via the in-page subscribe form. You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email, or by emailing compliance [at] fancodein.com. The desk does not auto-subscribe.
Editorial corrections — what we retain
When you write to the desk with a correction, we retain the email for 24 months. The retention period covers the active corrections log on the relevant page; after 24 months the email is deleted unless the corrections log itself is referenced in another published piece. The desk does not retain copies of corrections emails for any other purpose.
Newsletter subscribers — the desk retains the email and the subscription timestamp. Unsubscribe requests are honoured within 7 days; the email is then purged from the list. The desk does not sell or share the newsletter list.
A reading note — the operator's privacy posture
The operator's privacy posture is governed by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the operator's published privacy policy. KYC data is held under MeitY Online Gaming rules; payment data sits with the operator's payment processor; squad and contest data sits with the operator's contest register. None of this data is visible to the editorial desk — the desk is a web surface for cricket, football, kabaddi, tennis and fantasy coverage.
The desk's page-level privacy posture is intentionally minimal. The desk uses Cloudflare's edge cache (functional cookies only — not retargeting). The desk's only programmatic data collection is the optional newsletter subscription form.
If you want to subscribe to the desk's newsletter, you provide an email and consent. We use it for the newsletter. We don't sell, share, or rent your email. We don't auto-add emails to the list. We honour unsubscribe within 7 days. We purge the list on request within 30 days.
Cloudflare may set functional cookies under its own policy. Google Fonts CSS is loaded via a standard stylesheet link with no JS tracking — Google sees the IP of the load, but no JS runs on the page from Google.
