Final per-action scoring is published by the operator at the contest entry screen; the rows above are the broad strokes. The desk links to the contest register for the version-of-record.

Captain and vice-captain — the multiplier

The captain slot is where your use compounds. The Pick 7 captain (2.0×) and vice (1.5×) sit at the top of the points ladder. Pick the captain on a player with high-ceiling (above 15% boom-to-bust ratio), real recent form (four green bars or above), and a venue match (the player's last-five at this surface is consistent with the surface history).

Withdrawal

  1. Win Payout credits to your wallet after the contest settles (typically within 24 hours of the fixture).
  2. PAN already verified Payout to bank/UPI is processed as a withdrawal request inside the app.
  3. Bank processing 1-3 working days for UPI / net-banking / cards. Card withdrawals may incur a processing fee on the operator's side.
  4. Statement Every credit / debit sits in the wallet statement; download the PDF for your records.

Eligibility

18+ only · India resident · non-restricted state. The state-level regime prohibits paid fantasy entry from Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Odisha, Sikkim, Telangana, and Nagaland. The PROG Act 2025 framework applies at the central level; Meghalaya operates a permitted list.

Responsible play

Real-money gaming carries financial risk. The desk does not market to minors. If you or someone you know is experiencing problems related to gaming, contact the All India Gaming Council helpline (regional). Restricted states cannot be onboarded by the operator; if you are reading from one of them, the editorial coverage still applies but the contest register is not available.

Reader questions — how to play

What is the captain multiplier?

On Pick 5: captain 1.6×, vice 1.4×. On Pick 7: captain 2.0×, vice 1.5×. The captain doubles (or 1.6×) the points the captain scores in the match.

Pick 5 or Pick 7?

Pick 5 is smaller use, smaller variance. Pick 7 is larger use, larger variance. Pick the contest that matches your taste for risk.

How long until the contest settles?

Contests typically settle within 24 hours of the fixture. Payout lands in your wallet and is withdrawable.

Can I edit my squad after lock?

No — the squad is locked at the toss. The app does not allow post-lock edits.

What if my match is rained off?

If the match is abandoned before the toss, the contest is cancelled and entry fees are refunded. If the match is abandoned after lock, the operator's abandoned-fixture policy applies.

Is the practice contest the same?

Same scoring, same multiplier, no cash prize. Use practice to test your captain arithmetic before committing to a paid contest.

A reading note for beginners — three passes through the contest register

First pass: open the fixture, name the captain and the vice. Use the desk's prediction as a starting point, but build the rest of the squad around it — the squad should have a balanced role set across batting and bowling.

Second pass: check the role-balance band against the format. T20 needs two top-order, one middle, two allrounders, one pace, one spin. ODI needs the wrist-spin differential especially. Test needs the spinner index.

Third pass: lock the entry tier. The contest register tells you the entry fee, the payout tier and the cut. Pick the contest that matches your taste for risk — and never chase losses on a higher entry fee.

Reading the captain multiplier — a worked example

Take Pick 7 captain J. Pandya, scoring 41 allround composite at the Wankhede (28 runs + 1 wicket × 4 base multiplier = 41 composite points). The captain multiplier (×2.0) pushes that to 82 composite points. Vice captain A. Mukund scoring 55 with the multiplier (×1.5) becomes 82.5 composite. The five remaining squad members contribute their base scores.

Total contest score: 82 (captain) + 82.5 (vice) + 41 (Rohit) + 48 (Jaiswal) + 38 (Jadeja) + 22 (Bumrah × 4 base = 24 reduced) + 32 (Dhoni) = 369.5 composite. The opponent's score is the comparison; the higher composite wins the contest.

A reading note — a beginner's quick start

If you are brand-new to FanCode fantasy, the desk recommends a quick-start routine: (1) install the app, (2) sign up via mobile + OTP, (3) complete KYC, (4) open the practice contest register, (5) build a 5-player Pick 5 squad for any live or scheduled fixture, (6) lock the squad at the toss, (7) watch the fixture while tracking your composite points.

Practice contests are free and use the same scoring rules as paid contests. The captain multiplier is identical (1.6× for Pick 5, 2.0× for Pick 7). Where you find a captain pattern that works on a practice contest, the same pattern works on a paid contest — only the prize tier changes.

The desk's role on this lane is to explain the contest register and the captain arithmetic in plain English. For binding calls (tax interpretation, binding legal calls on state-level prohibition), consult a qualified professional. The desk is editorial, not advisory.

Where a published rule on this lane is later found incorrect (e.g. the operator publishes a different multiplier for a specific contest type), the desk publishes the correction on the corrections log. The desk does not retroactively rewrite history.
